Our group bring together an expertise in several different fields including Functional Nanomaterials, Physics of Materials and Electrochemistry, and put it to work for energy-oriented applications with special emphasis on clean energy conversion and storage systems. We actively design and engineer new materials such as 0D, 1D, 2D and 3D materials including their hybrid combinations with a strong focus on structural control at the nano/microscale and the meso-nanoscale. This work forms the basis for the development of complex nano-architectures conceived and optimized for the applications in Supercapacitors, rechargeable lithium batteries, beyond Li-ion Batteries (Na/K and Al) and hybrid energy storage devices. Following are major research lines.
